Beautiful mallet-like carved objects. Not sure if they were originally intended for a particular use, but they are splendid as decorative objects. They came out of the estate of an older Japanese wood carver/raver. In excellent vintage condition.

Shorter Mallet: 8.5" Long x 3.5" Wide at widest point. Longer piece: 12" x 2" Wide at widest point.
